Year Two - Spotlight on Learning
Dear Families,
It was so great to see all of you at the Carols Event on Tuesday. The students sung beautifully and it was a wonderful event to sum up the end of a fantastic year. Thank you to all of those who made the effort to come down at such a busy time of year.
Next week we are learning...
Religious Education: We are continuing our work on Advent and looking at the meaning behind Christmas. We will also be finalising our hampers ready to donate to St Vincent de Paul and those who may go without at Christmas time.
Mathematics: We will be consolidating some of the concepts we have learnt this year through fun and interactive activities.
English: We will be looking at irregular nouns in our reading and writing. Our spelling focus is reading and spelling words that break the 'Rabbit Pattern' where a short vowel needs protection from a double letter.

Auslan: We will be undertaking our final assessment for Unit 8.
Social/Emotional Learning & RRRR: We are focusing on preparations for our transition to Year 3. What that might look like and any wonderings we have.

Reminders
On Wednesday 11th December students will be cleaning out their tubs and taking home all their books. Could you please pack an extra bag (eg: Coles bag) to be used to assist with carrying school books home that day. If you have any spares to donate to those who forget to bring that would be very helpful too.
