Year Four - Spotlight on Learning
Dear Parents,
This week students were wonderful representatives of our Bethany community at the matinee and evening session of our Carols event. It was lovely to hear their beautiful singing. We have great talent among us. Thank you for coming and sharing in this special occasion.
Our Learning Focus this week . . .
Religious Education focus: In our final week the children will be exploring the journey of Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem. We will also create little Nativity sets for the children to bring home.
Mathematics focus: Students will be working in teams to crack codes and put their mathematical knowledge to the test.
English focus: Students will continue to read ‘The Iron Man’ and share our persuasive texts with the class. We will also be watching the movie, 'The Iron Giant'.
Social/ Emotional Learning & RRRR: Students are continuing with topic 6: Help seeking and will finish off the unit with a written story for younger students to help them learn how to deal with any challenges they may face.
Auslan: Students will be revising different units that have been completed. Listening and watching the stories that have been signed. They will also have conversations with each other using the signs we have learnt.
