SSV STATE TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Massive shout-out to Charlie B (4TW), Arlo C (4DS), Jackson H (4TW), Sophie M (5BC), and Chris W (4DS), who represented themselves and Greenhills PS at last week’s SSV State Track & Field Championships. Below are their results:
- Charlie B: Boys U10 4x100M Relay – 5th
- Arlo C: Boys U10 4x100M Relay – 5th / Boys U10 800M – 15th
- Jackson H: Boys U10 4x100M Relay – 5th
- Sophie M: Girls U11 Discus – 10th
- Chris W: Boys U10 4x100M Relay – 5th
Making it to State is an incredible achievement and something to be extremely proud of – especially considering close to 100,000 students started the journey at the District level. The entire Greenhills community is so proud of you all 💪🏼!
MERUKA CUP: P-2 LAPATHON
On Wednesday 20th November, all Prep to Year 2 students will participate in the Meruka Cup Lapathon Challenge, organised by the House and Sport Captains.
Throughout one session during the day, students will complete as many laps of the TigerTurf as they can, choosing to walk, jog, or run – every lap counts towards earning points for their house!
On the day, students are encouraged to wear their house tops or house colours to show off their team spirit.
COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS
Congratulations to Amelia T (PSM) and her cheerleading team, the Atomic Allstars, who placed 2nd in their competition over the weekend!

Congratulations to James B (PAD), who ran in the second race of the Casey Stride Series on Sunday 10th November. James once again finished 1st in his age group (U7 1km) with a gun time of 5 minutes 8 seconds, improving his previous time by 2 seconds.

FUN RUN
Dear parents and guardians of Greenhills Primary School students,
On Wednesday the 27th of November we will be having a Fun Run! You can walk, run, jog and skip!
There will also be Icy Poles for everyone who participates!
Each lap your child runs gets house points for their house!
All the money we raise will go to The Greenhills Neighbourhood House, which assists families in need.
The date for the fun run is: Wednesday 27th November.
Your child can also wear their house colours on the day.
A letter will be sent home this week with your child with further information as to how to collect donations.

GREENHILLS MUSIC FESTIVAL
Please note that the annual Greenhills Music Festival will be held on Wednesday 4th December commencing at 7.30p.m. at the Nalleijerring Performance Centre at Eltham High School.
Ticket prices are: $25 Adults and $10 students. Participating students do not need to purchase a ticket. Tickets can be purchased via tryBooking using the link below

Parent and carer School Saving Bonus code distribution
The Victorian Government is delivering the School Saving Bonus – a one-off $400 support for government school students from Prep to Year 12 in 2025.
From Tuesday 26 November 2024, you will receive an email from the Department of Education with your unique $400 School Saving Bonus code.
The School Saving Bonus will help families cover the cost of uniforms, textbooks, excursions, activities and more.
If you have multiple children enrolled in Victorian government schools for 2025, you will receive one School Saving Bonus code email per child. These emails might arrive on different days. Please make sure to check your spam/junk email folder.
Parents and carers can use the School Saving Bonus code in store at school-nominated suppliers. Parents and carers can also choose to access the School Saving Bonus online system, where they can allocate part or all the $400 bonus to use at school nominated-online suppliers or for school activities. To learn more about the School Saving Bonus, visit School Saving Bonus | vic.gov.au (www.vic.gov.au). A step-by-step user guide will be available on the webpage on 26 November.
