Tonight, some of our grade 2 students are participating in the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time.  This culminates multiple sessions with our Parish Sacramental Team, preparing them for this celebration.  I acknowledge the students for their commitment to the program as well as the Parish Sacramental Team for their planning and preparation for our community.

We thank them for their dedication to St Kilian’s School.

School Fees for Health Care Card holders

Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd (CESL) is pleased to inform Primary School families holding a valid Health Care Card (HCC) will be eligible for a significant reduction in school fees for the upcoming year, including all fees and levies. 2025 School Fee Payment Agreements will be sent out early February 2025. The discount will be automatically applied to your school fee account once you return your completed 2025 School Fee Payment Agreement with a copy of your HCC to the school office. You will then need to complete a CSEF form and set up a direct debit arrangement.

We understand that many families have varying circumstances and in response to the rising cost of living expenses, we are committed to supporting those who need additional assistance.

Please be assured that this support is provided to ensure all students have the opportunity to thrive in our school community. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please contact the school office.

2025 Magnify Sandhurst

Teachers at St Kilian’s Primary School are committed to explicit and responsive instruction. We establish the conditions for learning so that every child learns in a calm and ordered learning environment. We establish clear routines to minimise disruption and maximise instructional time.  Building on the learning of our staff over recent years on the way we teach our staff have participated in numerous professional learning opportunities directed by Catholic Education Sandhurst Ltd., enabling the smooth transition to the Magnify Sandhurst.  Our school will continue to use an Explicit Direct Instruction (EDI) approach to teaching. Teachers follow the I Do, We Do, You Do model to introduce new concepts, ensuring all students can achieve success. This newly learnt content is then moved into the students’ long-term memories by conducting ‘Daily Reviews’ which is based on the concept of spaced and interleaved practice.
