ANZAC Service

The Kingswood Senior Choir did a wonderful job joining with the Dingley Primary School and St Mark's Primary School choirs to perform as part of the schools' Anzac service last Wednesday, 24th April.

They braved the rain showers at the rehearsal just prior to the event, and sang 'I Am Australian' (The Anzac version) as well as both the Australian and New Zealand national anthems.

Many thanks to Mrs Megan Franklyn and Mrs Lissett Prouting who walked with us to this event.

Mother's Day Breakfast

Both the Senior and the Junior choirs sang for the Mums and Special Friends at our annual Mother's Day Breakfast. It was the first public performance for the Junior Choir, and all students are to be commended for their focus, dedication and commitment to learning the songs. It is vocally a lot more challenging to sing outdoors without the acoustics of a room and with the added weather conditions that come with being outside. Congratulations to both choirs on your fabulous performances.

Choirs

Junior Choir is for students in Year Prep - 2. We rehearse every Wednesday lunchtime in the 'old' Performing Arts room (where Team Kids is before and after school).

Both the choirs are free to join, so if your child likes to sing, please encourage them to come along. It would be great to have more Year 2 students and Prep students participate.
