Term 2, Week 4

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Wednesday our teachers were involved in a professional development day focused on enhancing your child's educational experience and success. The focus of the day was on explicit mathematical instruction. Our presenter Jared Bussell has worked with hundreds of teachers and schools to bring research and practice together through professional learning opportunities, coaching and demonstrations of evidence based instructional strategies. Jared’s work has been instrumental in promoting the principles of explicit instruction within the field of education. The learning from the day affirmed our commitment to providing the best educational opportunities, growth and success for our students. 

This week we welcomed over 250 mothers to our Mother’s day Breakfast. In total we had about 476 mothers and students over the 2 days. 

Mother's Day is an important occasion celebrated in many countries around the world to honor and appreciate the contributions and influence of mothers in our lives. Being a mum is so special and our children are truly a gift from God. In the busy hustle and bustle of everyday life, it's easy to overlook the countless little moments that make motherhood so special—the comforting hugs, the words of encouragement, the bedtime stories and the unconditional love. The time spent at our Mother’s day Breakfast was a time to pause to honor and cherish each and every one of those moments, recognizing the impact that mother’s do  have on our lives. Special thanks to all our staff who prepared and served breakfast to mums and students to make it a success. 

It was great to see so many mums and children head over to our library after breakfast to read books with their children.

Prep Enrolments 2025: Enrollment for Prep 2025 will close on Friday 24th May. If you have not already returned an enrollment form, please return the application as soon as possible to secure your child a place.
