ANZAC DAY 2024
Whole School Assembly
Wednesday 24 April
School Captains, Charley Reynolds and Zoe Haydon together with Emily Geerling and Esther Lambawi (Humanities Captains), lead a Whole School Assembly in the stadium to honour the sacrifices of Australia's military forces.
Charley and Zoe spoke about the ANZAC history and Emily and Esther read the ANZAC Requiem.
Oscar Geddes (class of 2023), spoke about his experience in the AEG, joining the army and the enlistment process and read The Ode of Remembrance. The Last Post and a minute's silence the followed.
Emily read Flanders Fields by John McCrae and Zoe and Charley then introduced the 2024 Year Level Captains;

The assembly concluded with a musical performance from our Year 8 band ‘ABC’- Ari, Ben and Callum.

As part of the Lilydale RSL ANZAC Order of Dawn Service, Emily and Esther (Humanities Captains), read the ANZAC Requiem.
The girls also laid a beautiful wreath on behalf of the school. We thank Emily and Esther for being wonderful representatives for Lilydale High School
