VCE DRAMA

The Roof Is Caving In

Friday 17 May

VCE Drama students enjoyed the trip to Carlton to see La Mama's 'The Roof Is Caving In' with Ms Goode and Ms Louis.

Lunch in Lygon Street was a super special treat with students indulging in Italian, Greek, French and Syrian cuisine! Artistic adventures and culinary delights were thoroughly enjoyed.

'The Roof is Caving In' is a collision of Australian Gothic, Picasso and the uncontrollable urge to say “sorry” when you run into a chair!  Hester and Bronwyn are people pleasers at the mercy of the landscape around them: A tiny studio apartment with two trundle beds and a lot of ‘character’.

The Trojan War

Friday 19 April

Ms Goode's VCE Drama class (enthusiastically joined by Mr Bleakley), had a fabulous day at the theatre on Thursday seeing 'The Trojan War at Chapel Off Chapel in South Yarra.

The interactive and highly entertaining play was performed by NZ theatre company, ‘A Slightly Isolated Dog’, with several of our students also partaking in the frivolities as minor characters.

The Abyss Within

Students in VCE Drama have been busy devising their SAC performance ensembles using the following stimulus, ‘The Abyss Within: Unveiling the Seven Deadly Sins’.

Performances will explore how the seven deadly sins manifest themselves in various behaviours, both historically and in popular culture.

The LHS community are warmly invited to the evening presentation of these on, Thursday 30 May at 6pm in the PAC Theatre.

A light supper will be provided between 5:30pm and 6 pm.
