Principal's Panorama

Miss Justine Goonan

Dear Parents and Carers,

Students and Staff have started Term Two enthusiastically, with lots of great learning and events planned for this 11 week term! Please see the 'School Calendar' tab for some of the key dates for this term, including a planned Pupil Free Day.

Student Illness

As shared via email this week, some of our students have been unwell with a variety of illnesses. It is important to note that our current guidelines for COVID-19 mean that we will not be notifying our school community when we record cases, but we do ask parents and carers to let us know if your child/ren returns a positive result. Any student displaying cold like symptoms or feels unwell is asked to stay at home.

Car Park Upgrades

You might have noticed the heavy machinery equipment in the driveway since the school holidays. So far this year we have worked on important maintenance tasks such as improving the concrete paths between the two school buildings and now the much needed upgrades to the driveway and Staff car parking area to make it safe. We hope that these works will be completed in the coming weeks and in the meantime our students will not be using this part of the school.

Miss Whitehead's Graduation

Although we have been lucky to have already had Amy Whitehead on our teaching Staff for over 12 months, she officially graduated with her Teaching Degree yesterday. We are very proud of the wonderful teacher she is and thankful she is a part of Sacred Heart School.

The Man From Snowy River Bush Festival

Thank you to all of our students and families for supporting the Parade at the Festival. Our students did a fantastic job of representing our School to the local and wider community.

Raffle

A huge thank you to all of our Parents & Carers who volunteered their time to collect donations for the Raffle or gave up their time to volunteer selling raffle tickets. Your hard work raised $410 for our School, thank you!

Also a big thank you to all of the local businesses who donated towards the raffle - Agmate Rural Services, Corryong Butchery, Cafe Corryong Brew, Hobies Sports Centre, IGA-Corryong, Black Sheep Corryong and Mildren & Coysh.

An ANZAC Day

Heavenly Father,

This ANZAC Day, we gather in remembrance and reflection. Grant us the wisdom to seek love in every interaction, to uphold justice in every decision, to extend forgiveness in every moment of hurt, and to pursue reconciliation in every relationship

May the sacrifices of the brace men and women who served our nations be eternally honoured, and may their courage inspire us to build a world filled with Your peace. Bless us with the strength to forge bonds of unity, understanding, and compassion among all peoples.

As we stand together in solemn commemoration, may our actions reflect Your divine grace, guiding us to sow seeds of harmony and good will wherever we go.

Amen

All Sacred Heart Students are invited to participate in the Corryong March and Service on ANZAC Day. Senior students will be sharing a poem during the Service
