Mothers Day Stall on Thursday 9th and Friday 10th May

The children enjoyed the excitement of shopping for their mums/special loved one, this morning.

The P&F are providing a further opportunity for some Mother's Day shopping tomorrow for those children who forgot to bring money yesterday.   There will be various gifts ranging from $2.00 - $10.00. Please remember to bring a bag for your child to put their gifts in.

Thank you volunteers!

A huge thank you to all of our Parents & Friends volunteers for hosting the Mother’s Day stall sessions this week.  It is always priceless viewing to see the children so carefully choose what they believe is the most special gift for their mum/special loved one.

We thank all volunteers for the time that they give to our school.

A Super Camp Week for our Year 5/6 Children

Our Year 5 and 6 children returned from a wonderful 3 days at Camp Arrabri on Wednesday afternoon.  This morning's late start was probably well needed after such a fun and tiring few days! No doubt there’s lots of great stories to be shared about the highlights of Camp days!

The feedback from school and camp staff was highly positive in regards to the behaviour of all children, the manner in which they supported each other and for the capacity of each child to stretch themselves to take on the challenges as presented to them.

Congratulations year 5/6 stars!

Our thanks to the attending staff for their care for our children throughout the past 3 days.  Our thanks for the care of those who struggle being away from loved ones and the comfort of home, for the encouragement for those children who were initially reluctant to take on challenges, who stretched themselves and had real life learnings of resilience and learnt their capacity for independence.  And our thanks for giving up your own family life for the three days involved and all that goes with that.  Rest well this weekend!

Great times for our senior students and rewarding times for staff!

Prep 2024 Family Evening on Wednesday 22nd May (6pm - 7.30pm)

Class teachers will provide a brief insight into the experiences and teachings of Literacy and Numeracy in the Prep curriculum.   Our Prep children will then have the opportunity to share their learnings with their parents.

At the end of the classroom sharing parents will have the option to remain onsite for a chance to socialise with some light finger food and refreshments, before returning home.

We warmly welcome all Prep families to the evening to gain an insight into the learning of your children and to also make connections with fellow Prep families.

NCCD

Please make sure that you take the time to read the following information regarding the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) On School Students with Disability.

Asthma Plans & Medication

We remind parents that all children requiring asthma medication need to provide to the school an Asthma Management Plan as sourced through a doctor.  As we enter the winter months we remind parents to have Asthma medication and plans handed to the school office.    All medication must be housed in the first aid room and not in student bags.   Any medication must be administered under the supervision of a staff member.

Term 2 Winter Uniform

The weather has certainly changed to cooler days. We request that students transition to their winter uniform for the remainder of Term 2 and Term 3. Students are to be dressed in the correct uniform at all times, this includes the correct socks and shoes, along with sports uniform only being worn on designated days.
