Level Masses

This term we will continue with the level masses. These Masses will be held on Wednesday mornings at 9:15 in the Church.

Grade 4: 24th April

Grade 3: 8th May

Grade 2: 29th may

Grade One: 5th June

Prep: 19th June

We warmly invite you to join us in these celebrations.

Confirmation

This term many of our year 6 students will be receiving the sacrament of Confirmation. This is a very important step in these young people's faith journey. This week we held a parent workshop where the students and parents had an opportunity to discuss how the gifts of the Holy Spirit enable us to be faithful followers of Jesus.

On Friday 10th may the students will have a reflection day at St Patrick's Cathedral and Mary MacKillop Heritage centre before the Confirmation Mass on Wednesday 15th May.

Please pray for these students as they prepare for their Confirmation.

Parish Fortnightly

Welcome back to Term 2.  We hope you had a lovely and fulfilling Easter holiday break and are refreshed for a new Term.

In a few week’s time, our Grade 6 children will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at St Patrick’s Cathedral.  Last weekend was their Rite of Enrolment at all masses.  If you were at the Sunday 9am Mass, Father John spoke beautifully to the children about Confirmation and being a Shepherd to all people.  He then gave each of them a Confirmation Dove Pin and bestowed upon each child a “Gift” of the Holy Spirit.  It was a lovely gesture.

We have also welcomed our new Parish Secretary, Sharon Jacob.  Sharon will be fulfilling Jenny’s position on Thursdays and Fridays.  She comes to us with a great deal of knowledge and has worked alongside Fr Arsenio in the past at the Lilydale Parish.  Jenny Philp has retired after 23 years of loyal service and we wish her all the best for the future.

St Vincent de Paul are beginning a monthly food bank to help members of our Community who are struggling.  Special bins are available in the Church behind the noticeboard in the entrance foyer.  For the month of May they are requesting tea/coffee, long life milk, pasta, pasta sauce and tins of soup.  If you can donate any of these items, they will be greatly received and accepted.  Please be aware of use-by dates as they cannot forward on anything that has expired.

A reminder that Baptism Information Meetings are now held every 2nd Tuesday of the month (except January) at 7.30 pm in the Parish House.  If you are interested in having your new-born or child receive the Sacrament of Baptism, please contact the Parish House on 7036 9395 or email ringwoodnorth@cam.org.au to make a booking.

Enjoy the weekend ahead with the ANZAC day holiday on Thursday followed by school closure day on Friday.
