P&F Update

Welcome back for Term 2

Wow, don’t those holidays go quickly?! We hope you all had an enjoyable Easter break and School Holiday period. It was lovely to share a cuppa together last week with the free coffee van at drop-off and we hope our families are enjoying this chance to chat and get to know one another better. 

We have an exciting calendar of events planned for Term 2 and we look forward to seeing you at one or more of these events in the coming weeks.

Would you like to have input into our major fundraising goal for 2024? We will be making a decision at our next meeting (Tuesday 30th April) so please feel free to come along; all are welcome. 

P&F Committee meeting – all welcome!

Our next P&F Committee meeting will be held on Tuesday 30 April at 7.30pm in the P&F room (across from the church). All interested parents and friends of Holy Spirit school are welcome to come along and hear about the exciting events planned for Term 2. We will also be deciding on the major fundraising goal for 2024.

Second-hand Uniform Shop

Did you know that you can drop off donations of clean, good condition (no stains or rips) uniform items in the red wheelie bin outside the P&F room? We are particularly eager for any donations of maroon polo tops and PE tops. 

Please note that we are no longer accepting donations of grey or white uniform items. Grey items (dresses, shorts and pants) can be donated to op shops as other local schools use grey dresses and pants. White items with the school logo can be placed in the clothing recycle bin in the North Ringwood shops or dropped off at H&M in Eastland. Please don’t create extra work for our volunteers by leaving these items in the red donation bin.

Mother’s Day Stall – important information

Our Mother's Day Stall will run on Friday 3rd May (the week before Mother's Day). All gifts are $5 each, with 1 ticket = 1 gift. 

New families please note: this is a CASHLESS stall and all tickets must be pre-purchased via Trybooking. We will not be accepting cash on the day. 

Please purchase tickets per student, not per family. Tickets will be allocated to students as they enter the stall, there is no need to print tickets. Students will have the opportunity to show siblings their purchases to avoid double-ups.

The Trybooking link will close on Thursday 2nd May at 12:00pm. No tickets can purchased after this time, to give our volunteers time to organise the ticketing system and set up the stall.

To volunteer your time and assist with the stall, please register via this link: https://signup.com/go/OyUkCkW We need at least 2 volunteers to set up on Thursday 2nd May 3.30pm-4.30pm and 5 volunteers to run the stall from 8.35am-1pm on Friday 3rd May.

Ladies’ Night

Come along to our Term 2 Mums’ Night, just in time for Mother’s Day! 

Date: Thursday 9th May 2024

Venue: The Ten Saints, 164 Main St Croydon

Time: 7.30pm onwards

Drinks at bar prices but you can BYO food (or even have take-away delivered!).

Trivia Night is BACK – save the date!

Due to popular demand, our Term 2 social night will be a Trivia Night! We have booked QuizzaMe, the popular hosts from our 2022 event. Please pop Saturday 22 June in your calendars now and start thinking about gathering a group of friends together for this fantastic night out. The event will be held in the school hall/church, and tables will be in groups of 8 (some individual tickets will also be available).

Booking link will be available in the coming weeks, and we will let you know before the link ‘goes live’.
