Science Excellence Experience

Keely Hayward, Miranda Russell and teacher Linda Tsai were at CDU Casuarina for their Science Excellence Experience - where they had a jam-packed schedule from the moment they landed.

The welcome dinner was filled with inspirational talks from so many professors, researchers and students about chasing your passion and creating your own career path.

Their first day there ran from 8am-4pm with an intense itinerary full of talks and activites even while they were having morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea. No brain breaks for them!

They had an insight into the chemistry of sniffer dogs and e-noses, turtleology (Yes! Turtle science!), harvesting their own cells, staining them and diagnosing them in the histology lab, using virtual reality and augmented reality in healthcare, and diving into the amazing world of waterbugs in accessing ecosystem health. This was all in the first day! We can't wait to hear more about their wonderful learning adventures.
