Introducing David Foley and Tandy Johnson

Curriculum Day: Today our staff are completing professional learning about individual educational plans (abbreviation is IEP) to support the development of a meaningful program for individual students and to track progress against short term SMART goals. An IEP provides an opportunity to share information between the school, family and other support professionals and it assists the school to determine resources required to achieve the student's learning goals. An IEP is currently recommended for students with additional needs and  students not achieving their potential and/or students at risk of disengagement.  Given that the change in this process is new, it will take a period of time for teachers to prepare an IEP for those identified students.
