PFA News

Well what a wonderful week we had last week!

WALKATHON SUCCESS

As always,  another ripper walkathon! Kids walking, smiling, high 5ing HERRRBy! Parents sipping coffee, stamping sheets and handing out fruit. What a great event! Active happy kids enjoying walking for their school. Donations have been rolling in so please ask your friends and families and let’s do this for our school. The Junior Campus will look amazing with its new COLA!

Thank you to the amazing Year 4 team for arranging all the behind the scenes for the walkathon. Thank you to the year 4 reps who took the lead, Kym Hayat, Rachel Bloom and Lea Hooper. There were plenty of helpers who came on the day to set up, pack up and everything in between. Thank you to all of you. Special thank you to HERRRBy, always there to cheer on the adoring crowd!

Thank you to Dan, Monika and team from Woolworths Middle Brighton for their incredible $300 plus donation of fruit, David from Coles Bay Street for $100 voucher and Shane from Coles Elsternwick for $50 voucher towards fruit.

BUNNINGS FUN!

There was a buzz in the air in Port Melbourne! The first ever GPS Port Melbourne Bunnings sausage sizzle was a great success. The set up team got the ball rolling, the middle session smashed lunch time and the afternoon crew kept it steady and packed up in record time. Hugest thank you to James Bavin for leading this initiative. It is parents like this who are always thinking of our school and how to make things great for our kids. James did all the behind the scenes ordering and shlepping and was there the whole day to ensure it ran smoothly. A special thank you to Matilda B, an ex GPS student who was there from set up to pack up! Thanks to Sarah King and Dan Woltema for setting up the use of the cool room to store the 70kg of sausages!

And the parents volunteers Kym Harvie, Greg Scher, Ben Avrimades, David Chia, Darren Krawitz, Jared Rozen, Aiden Elba, Josh Banky, Gui Glasberg, Jase Schattner, Jodie Holthouse, Martin McKee, Louise McKee, James McKay, Michelle Aitken and Mark Frayman. Of course Janine and Peter Hall were there preparing the slices of bread and cooking the snags to perfection. Thank you both for your unwavering commitment to our school. With you as our leaders we will continue to go far.

To the families who made a special trip to come and support us and say hi to the fabulous HERRRBy, thank you! We are locking in a date for next year!

We raised an incredible $2,767. 85 for our school!
