Teaching & Learning in 1/2B

During recent Literacy lessons in 1/2B, the students watched and listened to three different texts, ‘Dragons Love tacos’, ‘Kookoo Kookaburra’ and ‘The Hole Idea’. 

Upon watching each story, the students compared the similarities and differences between each text. One student for instance said that a similarity between all texts was that they were all fiction. Once they had compared these texts, the students discussed with a partner what their preference was for their favourite story.

It was explained to the class that a preference is a choice of what someone might like more than something else, whereby some students said their preference for their favourite story was ‘The Hole Idea’ compared to that of the other stories.
