Inclusive Education – 2025 The Year That Was

2025 has been an exciting and memorable year for Inclusive Education, filled with achievements, new experiences, and countless moments of growth for our students.
Our students participated in a wide range of sporting opportunities, including Multi‑Sport Days, the NSW School Sport Boccia Tournament, where we proudly made it all the way to State—and the NSW School Sport Ten Pin Bowling Tournament. Programs such as Heroes with Ability and The Special Olympics Program continued to build confidence, teamwork and joy across the year.
We were thrilled to be part of Shining Stars 2025, the Liverpool Elevated Culture Festival, and our students shone once again in NSW Operation Art, with our artwork selected for display at the NSW Art Gallery and now having a permanent home at Westmead Children’s Hospital—a remarkable achievement. We entered our short film titled “More Than a Game” into the International Focus on Ability Film Festival. We were also incredibly proud of our wonderful student performers who took the stage at our unforgettable International Day of People with Disability assembly, showcasing their talents and celebrating inclusion in the most powerful way.
Our learning experiences extended well beyond the classroom. Students enjoyed excursions to Awards Days, swimming, the Australian Museum, and the Botanical Gardens. Every fortnight, our Community Access program saw staff supporting students to engage in real‑world experiences such as shopping, bowling, parks, libraries, museums, amusement venues, and restaurants. These opportunities continue to build independence, communication and social skills in meaningful ways.
A standout highlight of the year was the Stage 5/6 Camp in Term 4, where students challenged themselves, built friendships, and created memories that will stay with them for years to come.
We are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved in 2025 and grateful to our dedicated staff and families for their ongoing support. We look forward to another year of learning, achievements and celebration in 2026.
