Year 3/4
Mr. Giles
We’re in the home stretch now! How many days are left — seven? fewer? more? Who knows anymore… but it’s definitely starting to feel like Christmas.
In class, the students are tired but excited for the holidays, and we’re all feeling that familiar end-of-year energy.
In English, we’re wrapping up our grammar lessons on punctuation such as apostrophes and commas, finishing our phonics work for the year, reviewing handwriting, practising typing, and of course… enjoying the film adaptations of the class novels we’ve read. We began with The One and Only Ivan, then Charlotte’s Web, and now Kensuke’s Kingdom.
In Mathematics, we’ve finished our work on 3D shape, and we’ll do a quick focus on probability before closing out the year.
In Inquiry, we’re completing our final lessons on health and wellbeing, and in RE we’re shifting into Advent as we prepare for Christmas.
We’ve got a few fun activities planned to finish the term with a smile, and then we’ll wrap it all up with a final tidy-up and celebration before the holidays begin.
Thanks for all the support this year.
- Mr. Giles.
