2025 SKiPPS Walkathon

Our annual SKiPPS Walkathon took place on Monday and it was an outstanding success.

Even a couple of light rain showers could not dampen the enthusiasm and energy of our students. For one full hour the park beside the school was filled with colour, laughter and determination as children completed hundreds and hundreds of laps on foot, on scooters and on bikes. It was a brilliant celebration of community, activity and teamwork.

A Community Effort and Incredible Generosity

We are thrilled to share that the event has already raised over $20,000 in donations. This is an extraordinary achievement and a reflection of the generosity of our community and the extended networks of families and friends who chose to support the school. We are incredibly grateful for every donation, message of support and sponsorship that helped us reach this impressive total.

All funds raised are being directed toward a long overdue upgrade of our student iPads and laptops. This investment will support learning across all year levels and ensure our students have up-to-date technology to enhance their learning and creativity.

A reminder that all donations are made to our Library Fund and are fully tax deductible. After donating you will receive an emailed receipt that you can provide to your accountant at tax time.

Donations remain open until Thursday 12 December and we encourage families to continue sharing the link with relatives, colleagues, neighbours and friends. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a real difference.

Acknowledging the Team Behind the Event

Events like this only happen because of the dedication of many people. A very special thank you to our Fundraising Sub-committee, particularly Belinda Williams and Mat Gdanitz, for their planning, organisation and endless enthusiasm. DJ Mat’s playlist kept everyone motivated and smiling right to the finish line.

Our sincere thanks also to Natalie Gallucci, our Walkathon Coordinator, for her leadership and careful coordination of all the behind-the-scenes details that ensured the event ran smoothly.

Finally, a heartfelt thank you to the many parents and carers who volunteered on the day. From marshalling to marking wristbands, your help made the event safe, efficient and enjoyable for all. We could not have done it without you.

The SKiPPS Walkathon is one of the highlights of our year and 2025 was no exception.

Thank you once again to everyone who supported it. Our students should feel very proud of their achievements, and we look forward to seeing the impact of this fundraising in our classrooms in the months ahead.
