Photo Competition

On Sunday night, we also announced the winners of our 2025 Boarding Photo Competition. This competition is now running for its 8th year in a row, and the entries are getting better each year. We'd like to thank everyone who's participated and voted in this year's competition. 

 

A special thank you also goes to Mrs Franzinelli who came back to GSG for this special occasion of announcing this year's winner.

 

The winners of the 2025 Boarding Photo Competition are:

In third place, with a wonderful farming-themed photograph, is Morgan Chatfield for her entry titled “Denmark.”

In second place, with an amazing shot, is Lilly Hall with her photo “Thai.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

And in first place, with a spectacular — and very, very cute — photo of his “little” pet called “Daisy,” is Charlie Stone for his entry titled “Cow.”

Social media age restrictions explained

Australia's social media age restrictions require social media platforms to prevent users under the age of 16 from creating or keeping accounts, taking effect on 10 December  2025

 

The law puts the onus on platforms to take "reasonable steps" to verify age, using methods like age estimation or ID verification, while also including strong privacy protections for the data collected. 

This measure is intended to protect young people from online harms like cyberbullying and harmful content
