Student Wellbeing

Today was "Meet the Teacher" Monday!
Monday 15th Dec - 10.00-11.00am (Meet your 2026 Teacher)
Building on our Term Four transition program—which used social and emotional activities to foster a sense of belonging and safety among the new student cohort—today is about strengthening the crucial link between the student and the teacher they are to have for 2026.
Our 'Meet the Teacher' Session held today was an opportunity to reveal who their allocated class teacher will be for 2026, however, we know you understand that the students are a shared responsibility of all teachers from the level and that classes are only grouped for Specialist Classes. The session today was designed to continue the relationship building process that the student has been developing in their new space across the past three Mondays, but directing it more specifically to getting to know their teachers (particularly if they are new to them), ensuring every student feels connected to their teachers and comfortable in their new space for the start of 2026. As a small school, we have the benefit of all teachers and leaders knowing all students and vice versa, but we hope that your student has learnt a little more about their 2026 level of teachers following their session today.
