BNWPS Value Award recipients

It was our pleasure to present four Year Six students with Student Value awards at Graduation on Tuesday night. These certificates were merit-based and recognised the students’ contribution to the school and wider community. While many Senior students represented these values, we felt that the four students best demonstrated them most consistently. They have all volunteered their own time in a myriad of ways, such as running library sessions with kindergarten children, organising committees, creating school murals/artwork and showing leadership within their cohort. These tasks have often been the students’ own initiatives and we thank them for going above and beyond what was expected.
The students were:
Authenticity- Isabel Bashera
Like a rock—steady, grounded, and real—Isabel stays true to herself. She approaches learning with honesty, curiosity, and confidence, trusting her own voice and making thoughtful choices. Her authenticity allows her to engage deeply, face challenges bravely, and grow in her own way.
Respect- Arietta Kyriakopoulos
Symbolised by the earth, Arietta shows genuine respect in all areas of school life. She listens well, treats everyone kindly, and consistently makes thoughtful choices. Her considerate attitude strengthens both her classroom and the wider school community, making her a reliable role model for others.
Connection- Hazel Nicholson-Smith
Symbolised by the leaf—linking trees, places, and people—Hazel strengthens connections across our school. She gets involved in every aspect of school life and readily volunteers her time to ensure things are done well. Her positive involvement and genuine commitment help bring our school community together.
Creativity- Kohana (Koko) Wood
Symbolised by a flower, Koko brings fresh ideas and impact to everything she does. She approaches challenges with original solutions and a unique perspective, enriching every space she is part of.
