Prep

What a busy term it has been! It feels like it is flying by so quickly. It has been great to see students working really hard in all areas of learning!
Literacy
During Phonics, we are continuing to learn about new spelling patterns and practising others we have learnt before. Our main focus is on 'sh', 'ch', and 'th.'
In Literacy, we have been finishing our unit of work on narratives and moving into an author study about Alison Lester. We are reading lots of her books and writing personal memory stories. This week we are reading 'Are We There Yet?' and students are writing about a holiday they have been on, focusing on each part: packing, travelling, accommodation and activities.
We enjoyed our Spelling Bee day. We played lots of different games like Boggle and different spelling activities, including word searches.
Numeracy
In Maths, we have been learning about subtraction. Students have explored lots of different strategies to support them in solving subtraction problems. We have learnt how to play different maths games too.
Book Week
What a fun week we had! We enjoyed exploring many of the shortlisted books and completing fun activities too. It was great to see some of our favourite book characters come to life on Friday.
