Dear Families,

What a busy and exciting fortnight it has been. I can hardly believe we are already commencing Week 6!

Our Book Week celebrations were a wonderful highlight, promoted and enjoyed by all. A big thank you to Joanna Lee and our staff and families for bringing the week to life through amazing costumes, engaging author visits, and of course our much-loved parade.

We also celebrated our House Athletics Day at Duncan McKinnon, brilliantly organised by Joel Pollard and Keren Freeman. I take my hat off to our PE teachers for their organisational expertise, and I am so grateful to our staff and families for their attendance, participation, and support in making the day such a success.

On top of this, our students and families have contributed valuable feedback through surveys as part of our School Review. And of course, there is so much more happening each day that we can be proud of and celebrate.

Congratulations and Gratitude to our Great Teachers

I want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing teachers. The dedication they bring to knowing how students learn, implementing systematic and structured practices, and building strong relationships through our consistent routines and explicit teaching is making a real difference!

Our recent NAPLAN results are evidence of the impact of their work. From the significant leap in Writing achievement, to steady gains in Spelling and Numeracy, and the continued strength of Reading, our students are growing. Importantly, fewer students now require additional support. Our targeted teaching and intervention strategies are working.

These results don’t happen by chance — they happen because of their professionalism, their commitment, and their belief in every child’s potential. It is truly a credit to them, and I couldn’t be prouder to work alongside such a great team.

A special acknowledgement also goes to our leadership team, who have been instrumental in driving this work forward. Their vision, guidance, and ongoing support provide the framework that allows our teachers to shine and our students to succeed.

REMINDER:

2026 Prep Enrolments

Applications for 2026 Prep enrolments closed recently.

If you have a child starting school next year and haven’t yet submitted an enrolment form, please do so as soon as possible. Early enrolments help us determine how many out-of-zone applications we can accept.

With thanks,

Karen Roberts
