Senior News - 4H Visit to St Mary’s College

Our Year 4 students were invited to visit St Mary’s College for a ‘Secondary School experience day’.

 

The day started with a pizza making session in the Food Tech lab, which was a lot of fun and gave the students a chance to try something new. They then had a tour of the school, including a look at the swimming pool and gym, which were very impressive and got the students excited about the sports opportunities in high school.

 

One of the most exciting parts of the visit was seeing some incredible science experiments. It was fascinating to see the kinds of things the students might be learning about in the future.

 

There was also the chance to ask lots of questions about what it’s like to move into high school; from subjects and homework to lockers and making new friends, it was really helpful to hear all the information from the high school teachers.

 

Overall, it was a fantastic way to see what high school is like and it made the students feel more confident and excited about what’s ahead.
