Pyjama Day- Malvern Emergency Food Program

Pyjama Day – Supporting the Malvern Emergency Food Program

Today, our school community came together for Pyjama Day, a special event to raise awareness and support for the Malvern Emergency Food Program.

Just as pyjamas make us feel comfortable, cosy, and safe, our donations bring comfort and care to those in our community who may not always have enough food or the security of a warm home.

Guided by the Gospel message in Matthew 25:37-40, our students were reminded of the importance of helping others: “Anything you did for any of my people here, you also did for me.” With this in mind, our school has been collecting food items over the past few weeks to support families in need.

The response has been truly inspiring. Thanks to the generosity of our families, we collected enough donations to cover two squares of the downball court — that’s 7.22 square metres of food!

Special congratulations to 2H, who needed a trolley to move their donations; 1C, who needed several Year 6 students to carry theirs; and to Greyson in Prep N for his outstanding contribution.

We were so pleased to be able to welcome the dedicated organisers and volunteers from the Malvern Emergency Food Program to our assembly. Their generosity and commitment to serving others were a true inspiration.

We are so proud of the kindness shown by our students and families. Together, we are helping to make our community a safer, kinder, and more caring place. Thank you to everyone for your generous support!
