Book Week
Yesterday, children and teachers joined in the fun of Book Week by coming to school dressed in their pyjamas. The day was filled with fun and laughter as everyone celebrated the joy of reading together and classes shared a hot chocolate and biscuit.

School Fees
This is just a reminder that term 3 and any previous arrears are now overdue, unless you are on a payment plan. If you are experiencing any difficulties with making any of these payments, please make sure that you contact me on principal@saclaytonsth.catholic.edu.au to organise a time to discuss.
Save the Date - Father’s/Special Friends Day Morning - Thursday 4th September (8.30am - 9.45am)
On Thursday 4th September we are inviting all children to celebrate Father’s/Special friends morning from 8.30am until 9.45am.
Father’s / special friends are invited to a fun morning spent with their child/ren participating in a variety of outdoor activities led by Kelly Sports. The activities will be designed to be appropriate for children and dads of all ages and all abilities. The focus will be on dad’s and children having some special fun together.
A coffee van will be onsite for adults only.
Parent / Student/Teacher Interviews
Bookings will be open soon for the Semester 2 Parent/Child/Teacher Interviews.
Interviews will be 10 minutes and held in the School Hall on Monday 15th September between 2.30pm and 7.00pm.
The booking code will be sent out in next week's newsletter.
We encourage all children to be active participants in the 10 minute interviews. This provides an opportunity for children to share their learning journey and successes with their family and to also be active responsible participants in their own learning.
Optional Child School Attendance – Monday 15th September - 1.35pm-3.15pm
Teaching staff will be released on the afternoon of Monday 15th September to commence their interviews’. Children remaining at school for the afternoon block will be grouped in levels and supervised by staff who are not required at these Interviews.
Parents attending interviews may collect their child/ren from these level gatherings.
Parents do have the option of collecting their child/ren from their classroom at 1.35pm.
Collection of children assists staff by reducing the number of children being present in the afternoon block.
Attendance and school start/finish times
Please ensure that your child/ren arrive for school on time (between 8.15am and 8.30am - not before 8.15am) each day and that you are at school to collect your children at 3.15pm.
There are staff members on duty from 8.15am – 8.45am each morning and after school until 3.30pm. If you are running late to pick up your child (after 3.15pm) please contact the office as soon as possible.

The term 3 Year Level newsletters were distributed this week. Please make time to read what is happening in your child/rens year level.
Lost Property
Please check the lost property bin if you are missing any items.
Our lost property is stored in the blue wheelie bin.
It is helpful to mark your child/ren's item of clothing clearly to ensure a quick return.

Dates for the 2025 Year - Closure Days
Parents/carers please note the School Closure dates set for the 2025 school calendar.
There are 4 days set aside for staff professional development and first aid training. There are additional 2 days as set aside for staff Time in Lieu Days (TIL) who are working outside of their expected work hours. TIL days were introduced as a component of the new Enterprise Bargaining Agreement in 2022.

New Term 3 Menu
New menu items in Term 3 are a Quesadilla (Chicken) served with Sour Cream;
Tandoori Chicken Puff Parcel with Mango Chutney; Carrot Cup Cake (Gluten Free, Dairy Free & Vegan); and Harvest Snaps.
The Poke Bowl has been a huge hit and will continue this term along with our other "new in Term 2 items" - Soft Shell Chicken Tacos with Salsa, Cheese & Salad; Sausage Rolls with Tomato Sauce; Lamingtons; Corn Chips with Mild Salsa; and "Not Cross" Buns.
The children will also be excited to learn that the Margherita Pizza TWIST will be returning for Term 3!
