CLEVER CLASS

This term in Kindergarten, we’ve been discovering the wonderful world of measurement! Through hands-on play and exploration, the children are learning that measurement is all around us from the length of our pencils to the height of our towers and measuring through cooking.

We’ve explored length, using blocks, string, and our own bodies to compare “longer than” and “shorter than.” Through these activities, children are developing important mathematical language such as taller, shorter, heavier, lighter, longer, more, and less. They are also building problem-solving skills, cooperation, and curiosity as they measure, compare, and test their ideas.
