Principal's Update

Dear Families,
This weekend, we celebrate Father’s Day — a special time to honour and give thanks for our fathers, grandfathers, and all those who lovingly take on fatherly roles in our lives.
Thank you for guiding us with wisdom, protecting us with strength, and nurturing us with love. At our school, we recognise the importance of their presence and the impact they have on our families and community.
I offer this prayer:
Loving God,
We thank You for the gift of fathers—those who care, guide,
and protect with love and strength.
Bless all fathers, grandfathers, and those who take on the role of a father in our lives.
May they be filled with Your wisdom, patience, and joy.
Help them to lead with kindness, speak with love, and walk in faith.
We remember with gratitude those who are no longer with us, and we pray for comfort for those who miss them today.
May all father figures feel appreciated and supported, and may they continue to reflect Your love in their families and communities.
St. Joseph, faithful and loving father to Jesus, pray for all who nurture and guide children with care.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Book Week
Thanks to our parent community for making such a wonderful effort in ensuring our children were creatively attired for the Book Parade. It was such a beautiful celebration for our community.
Special thanks to Sue Johns for coordinating Book week.
Father's Day Events
Father’s Day Breakfast
Breakfast kicks off at 8:00am – swing by the Community Centre for a delicious egg and bacon roll, a hot drink, and some great company. It’s a relaxed and friendly morning, and we’d love to see you there!
Father’s Day Mass
All Yr. 4-6 children will be celebrating Father’s Day mass on Friday 5 September from 9.15am in the shed. Please come and enjoy a beautiful mass celebrating our fathers, grandfathers and those who act as our fathers.
Father’s Day Stall
Thanks to our Parents & Friends committee for coordinating our Father’s Day stall yesterday, namely Kate Fraser, Nic Emmerson & Megan Merrett. Thanks also to those parent helpers who assisted our children in purchasing a Father’s Day gift. Your generosity is very much appreciated.
P&F Meeting
Our Parents & Friends will next meet tonight, Thursday 4 September @ 7.30pm in the Staffroom. All parents are most welcome to attend.
Advisory Council Meeting
Please note that we will be holding our Advisory Council meeting in the Meeting Room on Wednesday 10 September from 5.30pm. All are most welcome to attend.
School Engagement Survey
Four families, that have been randomly chosen from each class, have been sent a letter with details to our School Engagement Survey. I am hopeful that we can have all of our families complete the 12-minute survey as this will provide clear directions for our Annual Action Plan.
Please have your say so that we can improve and refine our practices.
Summer Uniform Changeover
Please note that children may wear either their summer or winter uniform from Monday 8 September during the changeable weather conditions. All children will need to be in Summer uniform by Monday 20 October.
Shed Unavailability
The shed will be unavailable for training use on the following dates in Term 3:
Thursday 4 Sept - Father's Day Mass setup (afterschool training affected)
Assembly
Our next assembly will be held on Friday 12 September at 2.45pm in the shed.
Year 2S & 2HL will lead our next school assembly. All parents, grandparents and guardians are most welcome to attend.
Christ has no hands but yours.
