Time flies when you’re having fun! Term 3 has been jam-packed full of activities, events and exciting visitors for the Prep students. 

Throughout Oatlands Book Week, the Prep students participated in so many fun activities! We explored the children’s story ‘The Concrete Garden’ and decorated the concrete with fabulous chalk drawings. The Prep students also attended an incursion from Perform! Education and had a very special visitor - Vicki Conley! Vicki is a children’s book author. We loved listening to her read her story ‘Where the Lyrebird Lives’. At the end of Book Week, some brave Prep students volunteered to speak at assembly to share what we learned about our focus text ‘The Concrete Garden’

Perform! Education in action!                                           

To celebrate Father’s Day, we welcomed the Prep Dads and special visitors into our classroom after their presentation from Lehmo. Our dads helped us do fun activities in the classroom such as making superhero masks, drawing portraits of each other, reading books, and creating pictures with colour by numbers.

This term we also went on our very first excursion! We had so much fun at  Twisted Science, igniting our curiosity, and creativity through STEM powered fun! 

We also had a blast showing off our best dance moves at the school disco! The laser lights and glow sticks were a crowd pleaser.

The Prep students have made so much growth since the beginning of the year! It is crazy to think that their first year of school is almost over!!
