RELIGIOUS EDUCATION CO-ORDINATOR (REC) CONFERENCE
During Week 8, I attended a two-day workshop in Armidale with other RECs from across the Diocese. Over both days, we listened to several Keynote speakers who discussed leadership as an REC. We also had an opportunity to break into small groups to learn about new resources available for our schools to support Religious Education.
STAFF TWILIGHT MEETING
Our staff participated in a Twilight Staff Meeting with Darryl Martin, an Armidale Diocesan Mission Team member, on Monday evening to enhance our Religious Education pedagogy. We focused on Catholic Identity and how we ensure this is present within our school. We also developed our understanding of the storytelling process as a component in our Religious Education lessons and began discussions about our whole school Scope and Sequence for Religious Education.
