Cyber Safety Update

Each term, our students participate in engaging cyber safety lessons delivered by Inform and Empower. This term's lessons will begin on Monday, 21st October, offering another valuable opportunity to help children learn how to stay safe online.

To get these important conversations started early, we are sharing Parent Tip Sheets in this newsletter. These resources are designed to encourage discussions about online safety at home—not just during classroom lessons, but at any time throughout the year.

Day For Daniel - Friday 25th October

Held annually on the last Friday of October, Day for Daniel honours the memory of Daniel Morcombe. It’s a day for raising awareness about child safety, and we encourage parents, carers, and educators to have important conversations with children about personal safety.

On this day, we will engage students in child safety education activities, including asking them to identify their five trusted adults. To show support, we are also asking all children to wear red on this day and bring a gold coin donation.

Day for Daniel is the Daniel Morcombe Foundation’s biggest fundraiser of the year. Your contributions help fund the development of free safety resources and programs for parents, carers, and educators, as well as provide support for young victims of crime.
