Power up for a big finish to the year with Monash Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences' free online revision workshop for VCE units 3 and 4 chemistry. The content aligns with the new VCE Chemistry study design and focuses on selected concepts in the context of pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences. The session will include background summaries, exploration of exam questions, and tips for success; all with a bit of fun along the way!

Audition Master Class: Bachelor of Music Theatre and Acting - 25th September
Preparing for an audition can often be a frightening experience. Many people feel isolated during the preparation. Get audition-ready with a full-day workshop led by respected Arts Academy teaching staff as you learn the skill of audition preparation. Fed Uni will provide you with the opportunity to practise, present and perfect your material. You'll be guide through the process of applying an audition preparation. Workshop includes:
Dance - this componence will simulate your dance audition and give key pointers related to preparation.
Voice - learn how to embody your voice confidently and clearly in your performance.
Singing - discover essential knowledge on song selection, performance techniques and how to talk to an accompanist.
Monologue - discover how to work on your monologue for the audition.
Audition application process - guidance on completing the application form, VTAC requirements and ABC letters.

National Institute of Education (NIE) Careers | Future Doctors Australia, Melbourne - 27th-30th September
Gaining medical work experience is essential for young people considering a career in medicine. It provides insight into the field, helps develop skills and attributes, and provides networking opportunities. However, obtaining medical work experience can be challenging due to various restrictions such as limited opportunities, safety concerns, and confidentiality issues.
That’s why NIE has developed the “Future Doctors Australia” program. It is an engaging and high-impact 4-day program that provides young people with a unique opportunity to gain medical work experience in a safe and structured environment. Participants will have the opportunity to spend time with current junior and senior medical students. They will also have the rare opportunity to spend time with more senior clinicians and various medical specialists. You will get to learn about clinical specialist’s relevant fields of work, ask them questions, and learn some hands-on skills from them.

Tata Consultancy Services' (TCS) - goIT Girls (Female students, years 10 and 11, 15+)
goIT Girls work experience program is challenging stereotypes and inspiring women in STEM. The week-long program will have students learn all about the growing number of jobs available in fields of STEM as problem solvers and technology professionals. Participants will have the opportunity to meet with and be mentored by inspiring senior executives from the tech industry. They are empowering students in Australia and New Zealand with the skills they need to be ready for the workplace of the future. The aim is to provide insight into the technology industry and challenge gender as well as occupational stereotypes.

Austin Health Work Experience (year 10-12 students, 15+)
Austin Health offers allied health work experience placements for secondary school students. Applications are now open for 2025 placements and will close 4th November.
Work-based learning opportunities give students the chance to observe a hospital environment in action and to learn about the diverse jobs available within the health industry.
Student placement is arranged for a 1 block week period from Monday to Friday.

Work experience placements typically target year 10 students. Work experience offers students industry exposure in the health industry and opportunity to observe a workplace in action.
Indigenous Careers in Health Program
Since 2016, Austin Health has proudly offered an Indigenous Careers in Health program to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students. The week-long program looks at a range of specialisations. Students also have the opportunity to speak with staff and medical students about study and career choices.

Parliament of Victoria Work Experience 2025 (15+)
Expressions of interest for Work Experience in terms 1 & 2 at Parliament of Victoria in 2025 are currently open and will close on 29th November, 5pm. Whether you’re interested in politics, planting trees, law-making or baking, your work experience placement at the Parliament of Victoria will be an experience you’ll remember. This is a unique opportunity to undertake a week-long placement in either the Parliamentary Sitting or Parliamentary Services program. Placements run for 5 days: Monday-Friday, from 9am until 5pm each day.
Parliamentary Sitting placements provide the opportunity to see the law-making process up close. Students will go behind the scenes with the staff who directly support Parliament sittings, to get a deeper understanding of our democratic processes.
Parliamentary Services placements offer a variety of opportunities that can be matched with a broad range of student interests and career goals. Students will have the option to work with staff in one of the many professional service areas that support the day-to-day business of Parliament.

Grandshake Virtual Work Experience (ages 14-19)
Grandshake offers a ton of awesome Virtual Work Experience programs for young people across Australia aged 14-19. These programs are a great way to get a taste of your dream career, all from your own home. And they help you learn some valuable skills along the way as well. The programs run all year, during school and the holidays, so you can sign up to start at any time. The programs typically run for four weeks, with a 2-4 hour commitment per week. Best of all, they’re totally free.

Seeing Eye Dogs Australia Work Experience 2025 (year 10-12 students, 15+)
Seeing Eye Dogs offers limited weekday work experience placements at their kennel site in Kensington, Victoria. This unique program offers students the chance to learn about the vital work that they do to support the blind and low vision community whilst gaining hands-on industry experience. They accept applications from students in years 10 – 12 who have a keen interest in working with dogs and in contributing to the blind and low vision community. Due to operational requirements, they can only take two students per month. Applications for placements in 2025 are now open.

BRHS Work Experience Program 2024 - (year 10-12 students, 15+)
The BRHS Work Experience Program is a three-day program made up of half or full days, from Tuesday to Thursday, in a variety of areas across the health service. The three-day programs are designed to provide Year 10 to 12 students with work experience in several areas to allow a meaningful experience across potential careers in healthcare.

East Gippsland Shire Council - Work Experience (15+)
East Gippsland Shire Council (EGSC) would like to extend an offer to students during 2024 to attend their workplace and obtain a career/learning opportunity via the Work Experience/Work Placement Program.
The easiest and most efficient way for EGSC to process any application requests is for the students to complete an application form and return it to hrtraining@egipps.vic.gov.au
They will then advise within one week, whether the business unit has capacity to accept the applicant.
Cadetship opportunity for First Peoples Youth at Museums Victoria
Museums Victoria is offering a Cadetship Program for First Peoples youth aged 16 – 22. The opportunity is open to those in year 10, 11 or 12, or those who have completed/left secondary education. This program offers a unique chance to gain valuable work experience, develop new skills and explore a diverse range of career pathways within Museums Victoria. These opportunities are available across all their venues, including Melbourne Museum, Scienceworks and the Immigration Museum.
The cadetship program will be tailored to the specific interests and needs of each cadet, offering experiences ranging from sciences and technology to media and communications. This will allow First Peoples youth to explore existing interests and discover new and exciting career paths all while developing their skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
