Principal's Address
Hello Everyone,
It is hard to believe we are already in week 4 of Term 4. Last week the Year 6 students had a brilliant time on camp at Tallebudgera and we had our Prep vision screening done.
This week, on Friday we welcome Ms Carolyn Ferguson for our first Visual Art lesson. She has some exciting art projects planned for everyone.
Queensland Track and Field Championships
A very talented Moonie State School Student, Josie Nolan recently competed at the Queensland Track and Field Championships, where she delivered outstanding performances. Her dedication and hard work paid off as she beat her own personal best in the 1500m race by 20 seconds. She finished 12th in the state for the 1500m and 8th in the state for the 800m where she also ran a personal best.
Josie, we are all so very proud of you and what you have accomplished. Your commitment to training and doing your best is an inspiration to all. Congratulations, your athletics future is bright, and we look forward to hearing about your successes next year and beyond.
School-Led Review
Thank you to everyone who participated in the School Led Review validation in Week 2. This has given us excellent information and improvement areas to focus on over the next 4 years at Moonie State School.
Cleaning Audit
Moonie State School underwent a cleaning review on Monday 14 October. The review enables the Principal, Business Manager and department an insight into the cleanliness/hygiene of all relevant areas throughout the school. We send our heartfelt thanks to Mrs Jill Murphy who keeps our school and grounds looking wonderful all year round. Jill was awarded a certificate from the Department for her outstanding efforts.

Tuckshop
This week I wanted to highlight the wonderful job Diana, Bella and our parent helpers do in the Tuckshop. Each week there is a delicious home cooked meal and wonderful treats for morning tea. We are so very spoilt and appreciate your personal time and effort. Look at the morning tea spread Diana provided for us last week.
