Term 4 update
Hello everyone,
I hope Term 4 got off to a great start for everyone! A very warm welcome to our new students and Forte parents who joined our school this term. We believe that music is more than learning to read and play music. It is about sparking joy, creativity and building confidence in our students. We look forward to working with all parents to support and nurture your child with our unique approach in teaching and learning. We believe it is important to make the learning fun, engaging and developmentally appropriate for our students. We encourage a curious mind with an "explore, discover and play" mindset as a means to foster creativity.
We aspire and hope for all our students to remain committed to their journey so that they may grow into well-rounded musicians who cherish and embrace a lifelong passion to play music.
We are delighted to share some highlights of our recent Forte Festival concerts involving the Junior Keys, Piano Keys and Creative Keys classes held last month. Our younger Music is Fun class performed too! Some of our more advanced piano students also took to the stage and delighted the audience with solos and duets, performing music from various genres. Some highlights of the concerts are embedded below:-
Well done too to our drums and guitar students who performed last Sunday! The audience was also treated to a drum solo performance by our drum teacher, Izaak. Some highlights embedded below.
Here is Shiney, our Grade 3 student with a confident performance of "Play that funky music" by Wild Cherry.
Music Theory Blitz Workshop holiday program (23 September and 3 October)
What is a music theory workshop without having a bit of fun and giggles playing a few rounds of music theory card game at the end of the session!
