VET Pathways & Workplace Learning

As mentioned earlier, the end of Term 3 is bittersweet as it marks the conclusion of my time with the Year 12s. It has been a true pleasure getting to know each of them, and I’m incredibly proud of their accomplishments. I have no doubt they will thrive in whatever path they choose. We always love receiving emails, calls, or visits from our Old Boys, and they are welcome to reach out anytime. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents for your support over the past three years. I look forward to celebrating the end of this journey together at the upcoming Year 12 events.

Year 12 Students:

Well, that’s it from us – don’t forget to take advantage of all the opportunities presented to you. I will look forward to seeing a few of you on Workplace Learning. Don’t forget your logbooks (please return them at the graduation ceremony) and complete the reflection through MyEdonline on SEQTA.

Year 11 Students:

Year 11 students should have already applied for one-year VET courses at TAFE, with offers being sent out in Term 4. Remember, the boys will need to arrange their WPL placements for Weeks 6 and 7, running from Monday, 11 November, to Friday, 22 November.

Year 10 Students:

TAFE offers for students who have applied will be sent out next term. The CTF have sent out an email and there will be interviews happening in the next few weeks.

The Year 10 I&E students completed their Term Three work experience - lots of great feedback – very proud of the way they handled themselves out in the community. The final WPL will take place from Monday, 25 November, to Friday, 29 November. Forms have been handed out.
