Parents/Guardians,

National Reconciliation Week

This week is Reconciliation Week. This is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures and achievements, and explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. Students have been participating in discussions and rotation activities throughout the week. Our 5/6 leaders participated in the Reconciliation walk in Echuca on Monday.

Cross Country

Congratulations to Orly, Cooper, and Ava who travelled to St Arnaud on Tuesday to compete in the Regional cross country event. They all put in a top effort in difficult hilly conditions. A special mention to Orly who has once again qualified for the State Championships next term!

Dates for your Diary - Pupil Free Day

Each year schools are granted  5 pupil free days by the Department. Our next Pupil free day is Friday 7th June. This is the day we have allocated to Assessment and Reporting. We have chosen this day as it aligns with the King's birthday holiday on Monday 10th, making it a four day weekend for families who are looking for an opportunity to get away.

School Beanies

As the weather starts to  change and the mornings become cooler, now might be the perfect time to buy your child a school beanie if they don't already own one. These are available at the school office for $12.

Semester One student reports

Over the next couple of weeks, all teachers will be working in Professional Learning Teams to moderate student data in order to make consistent and comparable judgements of student learning against the Victorian Curriculum. Reports will be released via XUNO during the last week of Term 2.

Prep enrolments for 2025

Prep enrolments for 2025 are being accepted and the Department of Education suggests school  encourage families to submit these by the end of this term. If you know of families interested in attending Rochester Primary School in 2025, please encourage them to contact the school.

Thursday Morning tea

Every Thursday morning  we hold a parent morning tea from 8:45 am. This is a great opportunity  to meet and speak to  members of our wellbeing team, other staff,  other parents or a chance to come in and relax. Morning tea is provided.
