2024 District Cross Country

On Monday 6th May, our Cross Country team from Grade 4, 5 and 6 represented St Peter’s School at the District Cross Country. Throughout the morning there were 6 races ranging from 2 km to 3 km depending on the age of the athlete and some races had up to 70 students competing.

I am so proud of all our students who represented St Peter’s as they showed their commitment and sportsmanship. The team was made up of Delia, Charlotte, Jacob, Daniel D, Viraj, Ojulu, Brian, Annie, Vibusha, Tasvin, Heshanya, Daniel B, Benito, Kintan, Maha, Shevon, Joseph, Alanna, Damien, Maggie, Adonia, Sanvi and Dylan. Everyone tried their best and most importantly, encouraged their peers to complete the course.

It was great to see that most students achieved PB’s by finishing the race placed better than previous years and this is a testament to their effort preparing for the event during our weekly P.E. lessons. As a result of this dedication and commitment 5 students qualified for the Monash Waverley Division Cross Country which will take place on 29/5/24. And our school finished 5th overall in our District.

Well done to the following students:

     Alanna Phan 7th (12 girls - 3km)

     Kintan 3rd place (12 boys - 3km)

     Viraj Dhanoa 7th (12 boys - 3km)

     Charlotte Chaffey 10th (11 girls - 3km)

     Benito Bygine (11 boys - 3km)

I would like to make a special thank you to Ms Chamberlain, Ms Rashida and Ms Ana for your support on the day. I really appreciate your support and assistance 😃

And to all our fabulous students who participated. Keep persevering guys, great things continue to happen. What a super effort!
