VICTORIAN GLOBAL LEARNING AWARDS

On Friday 17th May, Jehyeong (Jayden) Kim, our former international student captain of 2023, won the 2024 Victorian Global Learning Award for Resilience and Innovation in Year 12.

Jayden had been at Brighton Secondary College since Year 7 and was a huge advocate for friendship, community and connectedness between all students at BSC. Having started at the school alongside his twin brother Julian with minimal English Language skills, you can only imagine how daunting learning in any class would have been, however they were both warmly welcomed by our BSC community and quickly became friends with everyone and supported by all.

During his final year, Jayden made two incredible speeches, one at his farewell parade with his year 12 cohort and the other at the Graduation, both had everyone moved to tears as he passionately shared with us his experience at Brighton Secondary College.

Please join us in congratulating Jehyeong (Jayden) Kim, on his outstanding achievement. 

This incredible accomplishment wouldn't have been possible without the support and commitment of our entire team.
