SPORTS REPORT
Senior Sport
Last week our senior teams went out for term 2 Kingston Division Competition.
The boys AFL team, girls netball and boys badminton teams all performed strongly and were competitive with the top teams in the competition however did not quite do enough to advance through to the finals section this year.
Our strongest teams on the day were our boys soccer and girls badminton. Our badminton girls were terrific all day and lost in the final to McKinnon, whilst our boys soccer team had a couple of crushing wins, however ultimately a draw with McKinnon in the play off to decide the winner saw our boys finish second on points for the day.
Intermediate Sport
On Thursday 2nd of May of year 9 and 10 students took on the other schools in the Kingston division in AFL, netball, soccer and badminton.
AFL:
The boys were competitive against their opponents on the day however did not progress through to the finals.
Netball:
On Thursday the 2nd of May, the intermediate netball teams went to Sandringham Secondary College to play 5 exciting games of netball against McKinnon, Bentleigh, Mordialloc, Parkdale and Beaumaris.
Unfortunately, both teams suffered losses throughout the day, with the A team winning one game and the B teaming losing all games.
However, both teams kept the energy up and cheered the whole time and it was heaps of fun.
Thank you to Ms Inglese and Mr.Pizanias for coaching us.

From the Coaches
The girls played back to back games with only one sub. They worked hard as a team and although they did not finish on the leader board, the girls had a great day out in the beautiful sunshine
We are extremely proud of how the girls conducted themselves both on and off the court.
Coaches Jess Giffin and Kaitelyn John
Soccer:
The boys soccer put in a very strong performance in the round robin stage and made it through to the finals. They ultimately came unstuck to a very strong Parkdale outfit in the semi final who would go on to win the day.
The girls soccer also performed well, however were unable to progress to the finals this year.
Cross Country:
Brighton took a small but enthusiastic team of runners to cross country this week. We were blessed with beautiful weather to tackle the 5km and 3km courses.
Congratulations to the following students who made it through to the next round:
