SCS Eisteddfod
SCS Drama Eisteddfod
Congratulations to all of the students who performed in the Drama Eisteddfod in Week 4. STA Clovelly entered the Drama section for the first time this year and were represented by the Year 6 Class. The Year 6 students created a self devised work where they developed and wrote the script themselves with assistance from Mrs McInness. Their play titled "Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much" was awarded Highly Commended in a very competitive section.
We are so proud of the students for their confidence and creativity with their characters and their performance. Special thanks also to Miss Claffey for the great support and encouragement of her class.
SCS Choir Eisteddfod
The STA Choir performed at the Eisteddfod in Week 5. Students from Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 sang a Moana Medley which included the songs "We know the way", "I am Moana" and "How far I'll go". The students sang so beautifully and confidently and were a crowd favourite on the day. They also looked amazing in their Choir Uniforms - which include the motto "singing together on the hill by the sea" quoted from the St Anthony's school song.
Special congratulations to our three soloists Tanea Rose Prado from Year 6, Bianca Benic from Year 5 and Aviva Ronsisvalle from Year 3 who were absolutely amazing.
Eisteddfod Plans for 2025!!
As the 2024 Eisteddfod performances for STA come to close, the students are already talking about next year!
Students are able to access Solo and Duo entries in dance, singing, drama, piano and instrumental performance. St Anthonys will of course be entering groups in various styles of dance, and in drama and in choir.
Also due to the popularity and enthusiasm of the morning dance ensemble program, Mrs McInness will be continuing to offer morning dance ensemble classes from Term 3. Please keep your eye on announcements at the end of this term for details.
Once again congratulations to all of the STA students who participated in the SCS Eisteddfod in 2024. Thank you to Miss Claffey, Mrs Novak, Mrs Iorfino and all of the classroom teachers who supported the students. Thank you to Miss Jade for her assistance with all of the dance teams and her help of the Eisteddfod days. Thank you also to all of the parents and carers and to the students - I am so proud of you all.
