Junior School Internal Sports Program – 'Motiv8'

We are excited to inform you that Motiv8 has been engaged for Term 2 to facilitate our Junior School Internal Sports Program on a Friday each week for those students who are not taking part in the PISA sports program.

'Motiv8' is a sports entertainment and education company dedicated to using sport as a tool to motivate children. 'Motiv8' take an innovative approach to sport and their events are directly related to the learning outcomes and key components of the PDHPE syllabus. 'Motiv8' provides opportunities for students to achieve outcomes at each stage of the K-6 PDHPE syllabus in both ‘Knowledge and Understanding’ outcomes, as well as ‘Skills’ outcomes.

Whilst our PISA teams go offsite to engage in games against other schools on a Friday, we have decided as a school to ensure those students who are remaining onsite are given the best possible opportunities to participate in a more structured sports program to further develop their skills.

As such, 'Motiv8' has been arranged to provide a skills-based, curriculum-linked and fully engaging program for our students, delivered with the full assistance of our dedicated Junior School teaching staff.

Please note that this term is being used as a trial period to ensure that the program offered fully meets the needs of our students. A decision will then be made in due course about the continuation of 'Motiv8' moving forward and further information will be communicated to parents about this in due course.

We hope that those students who get the opportunity to take part in sessions led by 'Motiv8' this term enjoy the unique opportunity and benefit from their participation in this targeted sports skills program.
