A Night at Rosemount

On Wednesday 15 May, the TC Swing Bands and Rock Bands presented their Contemporary Music Showcase for A Night at Rosemount. It was standing room only as Swing Band II kicked off the evening with three well-honed tunes, including a cruisy Bossa Nova.

Swing Band I followed with renditions of “What’d I Say?” and “How High the Moon” which featured the smooth vocals of Zach McLean.

The night shifted from Jazz to Rock with our youngest band, The Doonas, cranking out tunes such as “Seven Nation Army” and the Beatles classic, “Come Together” which left the audience excited to see how this band will develop.

Cult of Personality followed with even more banging tunes including “Tomorrow” by Silverchair and “In Bloom” by Nirvana which spotlighted the band’s strengths. NoClu topped off the evening with a performance that showed off the band’s growth and maturity. “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder and “Stairway to Heaven” were just a few highlights from this band’s set.

Thank you to all the staff, friends and families that attended to support these emerging local musicians! The next Contemporary Music Showcase is scheduled in Term 4.
