Junior School
National Simultaneous Storytime
Wednesday 22 May, our Year 4 boys were treated to having College Librarian Mrs Maranne Purnell read Bowerbird Blues by Aura Parker to them as part of National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS). A big thank you to Mrs Purnell for her fabulous reading, and to the Year 4 teachers for getting involved and helping to promote the value of reading and literacy. The students thoroughly enjoyed the reading and had some interesting discussion following this.
Premier's Reading Challenge
The Premier's Reading Challenge has launched with much excitement amongst the Junior School boys. The Premier's Reading Challenge is a literary engagement initiative launched in 2022 to encourage reading and promote a love of literacy.
We encourage as many of our Junior School boys as possible to get involved. We look forward to hearing some great results at the conclusion of the challenge.

Hats
During the months of June and July, the boys are not required to wear hats when outside. This is in line with SunSmart Schools policy guidelines as the average UV index during these months is below 3. Please ensure your sons continue to wear their hats until June begins. They are welcome to continue wearing their hat all year round if they choose.
Junior School Music Night
The Junior School Music Night will take place in Gibney Hall on the evening of Friday, 7 June. There will be both large and small groups performing on the evening, which will involve most of the boys in the Junior School. More information about this evening will be released closer to the event.
