YEAR 10

WEEK 6: KEY INFORMATION

LAST WEEK

Last week, during our Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) lessons, Year 10 students focused on developing grit and persistence. Additionally, pastoral mentors continued their one-on-one conversations with students to discuss goals and monitor progress. These initiatives aimed to support our students in their personal and academic growth.

THIS WEEK

As we hit the halfway mark of the term, our Year 10 students are actively participating in school events like the Biggest Morning Tea and the College Open Evening. With assessments looming, your support can make all the difference. Encourage regular study routines, provide a quiet space for studying, and engage in conversations with your child about their academic progress. Your involvement is invaluable to their success.

A friendly reminder regarding footwear expectations for students when in their sports uniform. Students must wear appropriate shoes for physical activities, which means avoiding skate shoes or flat-soled footwear. Instead, ensure they wear low-cut, supportive, lace-up sports shoes with suitable grip. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring our students' safety and performance during sports activities.

On Monday of Week 7, our Year 10 students will be participating in an Unleashing Personal Potential workshop. These workshops focus on well-being and leadership, empowering students to thrive as they learn, live, and lead. Through engaging, relevant, challenging, practical, and inspiring strategies, students will gain valuable skills to navigate their academic and personal endeavours.
