COLLEGE

UPDATE

Term 2: Week 6

WELCOME TO WEEK 6!

LAST WEEK (5)

We were fortunate to welcome Melinda and Daniel from Collective Shout to the College to speak with our Parents, Staff and Year 9 students about pornography and the impacts on young people. The information presented was confronting, however, necessary to challenge the culture our young men and women are exposed to. We hope this has been beneficial for everyone. Please encourage your young person to reach out for support at the College if necessary.

Well done to all of our runners who represented St Mary's and the Trinity Coast South team at the Peninsula Cross Country Trials in Yungaburra. We have loved seeing your hard work in training pay-off!

THIS WEEK (6)

This Thursday, we open our College up to the community for our annual Open Evening. We have lots of sensational students ushering, performing and showcasing the many opportunities available at St Mary's. This event is open to all families, current and potential. This is a terrific opportunity to come along and see what has been happening in our community and the opportunities available to all students at our College.

We are currently seeking volunteers to assist in our College Tuckshop. If you have capacity to assist, and are interested in volunteering, please contact the College office.

We are officially halfway through the term! This means every student is now preparing for assessment. Please take a moment to check the assessment calendars with your child and spend some time reflecting on their past study successes. As always, please reach out to the College if you would like any additional hints and tips around effective study routines.
