Homework 2026

Homework will start to be sent home soon, so please partner with us to further your child's learning by setting up a homework routine at home with your family. Homework at Bonnyrigg PS is meant to be quick revision of learning already covered in class, and should not be a long or onerous task for families. 

There are two parts to homework: 

Home reading - please listen to your child read for ten minutes and fill out the blue reading log each time

Classwork - a small portion of written work to help students master and revise basic knowledge

Please see your child's teacher for any homework related questions or concerns. 

Library News

The timetable for library lessons is as follows.

Monday - K/1G & 1/2L

Tuesday - 2W & 3/4H

Wednesday - 5/6T, 3/4FS, 3/4N & KM

Friday - 5/6N & 5/6S

We encourage all families to support their children to borrow regularly from our school library. Regular borrowing helps children practise responsibility, discover new interests, and develop strong reading habits. Consistent reading at home for a short period each day plays an important role in developing confident, capable readers.
