Principal's Report

Education Week provided a wonderful opportunity for us to celebrate public education and showcase the learning, community and opportunities that make Rosanna Golf Links Primary School such a special place. It was fantastic to welcome so many families into classrooms on Wednesday morning for our Open Learning Morning. The excitement and engagement across the school was evident, with students proudly sharing their learning and families gaining a glimpse into the daily experiences of our classrooms. Events such as these are a valuable reminder of the strong partnership that exists between home and school and the important role this plays in supporting student success.

It was also wonderful to see our student leaders shine during Thursday’s prospective Prep Open Morning. Our leaders confidently guided tours for many prospective 2027 families, speaking proudly about their school, sharing their experiences and answering questions with maturity and enthusiasm. They represented our school exceptionally well and should be very proud of the way they welcomed visitors into our community.

A big thank you to all staff, students and families who helped make Education Week such a positive and successful celebration of learning at Golf Links.

Semester Reporting and Portfolio Tasks

We will be providing student achievement reports for Semester 1 this year as usual.

The reports will be distributed on the 26th of June.

The reports will continue to provide important details about student learning attainment, but full descriptive comments may not be included as a result of industrial action taken earlier this term by the Australian Education Union.

We will of course be pleased to discuss with you your child’s progress at our next 3 way conference interviews scheduled for 29th of July, or, as always, you can contact your classroom teacher to arrange a meeting.

This term, portfolio tasks will continue to be shared with families through Seesaw. Due to the industrial action that occurred earlier this term, we have been unable to run our usual moderation sessions and, as a result, portfolio tasks will be shared without annotated comments this term. We appreciate your understanding and are hopeful that we can return to our regular processes next term.

 Being Respectful in our Community

As always, we ask our community to be mindful and respectful of our neighbours during drop off and pick up times. Please ensure you are not parking across driveways or mounting curbs when parking around the school. We also kindly remind families walking dogs to pick up after their pets to help keep our school grounds and surrounding streets clean and welcoming for everyone. Thank you for your continued support in maintaining positive relationships with our local community.
