YEAR 3

FROM THE CLASSROOM
This week the year three team has focused on respect in the classroom, to the teachers and educational support, as well as to their peers. Many respect awards have been given this week for students who have shown the expected behaviours. Congratulations to all those students who have received a postcard, your behaviour does not go unnoticed and we appreciated it!!
This week year three students have been furthering their skills in multiplication and division through the use of an array. Students have been both creating their own arrays as well as reading and interpreting arrays provided. We have had great success from all students across this unit, and we are excited to begin our next unit, Fractions!!
Our Inquiry topic, ‘Healthy Eating’ has been quite a hit with the students as they have been very engaged and asking many questions regarding the topic.
Students have been mastering their rule of three. Some sentences created by students in 3E/F were:
‘School is good, fun and exciting.’ - Rudra 3E
‘School holidays are fun, fantastic and amazing.’ - Rehat 3F
