Mother's Day Stall

Thank you to our parent volunteers who ensured our Mother's Day Stall was a success once again. This stall could not run without volunteers, and we are so grateful for the support you provide. The smiles on some of the Foundation students as they selected a gift (after considerable deliberation) were priceless. Our students endured some cold, wet weather getting to and from the stall, then showed their siblings what they had purchased to prevent 'double-ups'. We ran our catch-up Mother's Day Stall this morning for those students who were unable to attend yesterday.

This is a timely reminder that, to volunteer in classrooms and assist with school events, we ask all parents/carers to complete the specific school training, which is now more closely aligned with expectations, child safety, and OHS. Thank you to those who have already completed this training.

The updated training guide is available on the School Website HERE

Once you have read the guide, complete the Google Form at the end of the presentation.  Please note: all questions and check boxes must be completed for you to volunteer, in addition to having a valid Working with Children Check (WWCC).

Uniform/Lost Property

Whilst it has been cold this week, next week is forecast to be a little warmer. At this time of year, it is not uncommon to experience cool mornings followed by warm afternoons. These changing conditions often result in school jumpers being removed and occasionally forgotten.

A labelled uniform is much more likely to be returned to its owner; however, a significant number of items are sent to lost property each week because clothing lacks names. We kindly ask that you ensure your child’s hat and jumper are clearly labelled. This will greatly assist us in promptly returning lost items and ensuring they reach your child.

Lost Property is located on the back veranda of the Heritage Building (Office Building)

Pre-Service Teachers

May is always a busy time in schools, with Pre-Service Teachers completing teaching placements alongside our staff. We value the strong partnerships we have established with universities and are proud to support the development of future teachers through these professional learning opportunities.

Throughout May, we will welcome 15 Pre-Service Teachers into classrooms across the school. As a result, you may notice a number of new faces around the school, or your child may come home talking about someone new working in their classroom. We appreciate the support our community continues to show in helping us contribute to the growth and development of the teaching profession.
